Dr. Kathryn Retzler & Daniel Soule
We built HormoneSynergy® around a simple belief: if you understand what is actually happening in your body, you can change the trajectory of your health.
Most people are not lacking effort. They are lacking clarity. Our role is to provide that clarity, then help you translate it into a practical, physician-guided plan for better energy, stronger cognition, improved body composition, and healthier aging over time.
This is not symptom-based, one-issue care. It is a more complete, systems-based approach to longevity medicine, built around how the body actually works.
Our philosophy:
We believe health should be proactive, personalized, and grounded in physiology. That means looking beyond symptoms and helping patients understand the systems that drive long-term health, function, and longevity.
Dr. Kathryn Retzler
Dr. Kathryn Retzler founded HormoneSynergy® with a focus on longevity medicine, preventive cardiology, hormone optimization, brain health, and personalized healthy aging.
Her work is grounded in the belief that aging does not have to follow a predictable path of decline. With the right information, the right strategy, and the right support, people can meaningfully influence how they feel and function over time.
In our clinic, that shows up as a prevention-first model that integrates medical care, lifestyle strategy, and advanced diagnostics to better understand each patient as an individual.
Dr. Retzler rejects the idea that aging must automatically mean falling apart on schedule. Her work is centered on helping patients pursue better physical health, sharper cognition, healthier body composition, improved cardiometabolic function, and a more personalized path to healthy aging.
Training & Background
Dr. Retzler received her doctorate from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 2001. She completed an integrative medicine internship with Andrew Weil, MD, followed by residency training in McMinnville, Oregon.
She later completed two fellowships in preventive cardiology through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine with Mark Houston, MD, helping shape the cardiometabolic and vascular focus of our clinical model.
Her work has long been centered on building bridges between conventional medical thinking and a more personalized, prevention-focused approach to health optimization and longevity medicine.
At HormoneSynergy®, that includes evidence-based natural therapies, lifestyle interventions, pharmaceutical therapies when appropriate, and bioidentical hormones as part of a broader strategy to address underlying causes and improve quality of life.
Her ongoing education includes work with leaders in hormone health, brain health, and longevity medicine, including Rebecca Glaser, MD, Thierry Hertoghe, MD, Daniel Amen, MD, and Dale Bredesen, MD.
She is licensed with full prescribing authority in Oregon and Washington and works directly with patients seeking a more personalized and prevention-focused approach to health and aging.
Daniel Soule
Daniel Soule serves as the owner and operator of HormoneSynergy®. His background is rooted in psychology, counseling, coaching, and behavior change, which plays an important role in how we support patients beyond the clinical side alone.
Because the truth is, information by itself rarely creates change. Understanding labs, hormones, metabolic risk, or health patterns is important, but what people do with that information is what actually changes outcomes.
Daniel’s work focuses on helping patients connect the dots between where they are now and where they want to be, and then translating that into practical, sustainable next steps.
Within HormoneSynergy®, that includes operational leadership, patient-centered communication, education, encouragement, and helping people stay engaged in the process of improving their health over time.
His perspective is grounded in the belief that meaningful change often begins when people understand that they are not powerless. With support, education, and accountability, people can begin making better decisions for their future health.
Education & Training
Daniel studied psychology, sociology, and anthropology at Wichita State University and continued his training at New West Seminary in Portland, Oregon.
He has completed certification in coaching, clinical hypnotherapy, and neuro-linguistic programming, with additional training through:
- New Vibe Training Center — ICF Coaching Certification
- Apositiva Counseling and Training Center — Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming
- AMPAC University — Certification in Clinical Hypnotherapy
- Kansas College of Chinese Medicine
- Total Health Works School of Massage
- Your New Life Story® — Health and Wellness Coaching Certification
The HormoneSynergy® Mission
Our goal is to help patients move beyond short-term symptom management and toward a more complete understanding of their health.
That often means looking at multiple systems at once, including cardiometabolic health, hormones, brain function, body composition, inflammation, lifestyle patterns, and the deeper drivers of how someone feels and functions over time.
From there, we build a strategy that is grounded in physiology and designed for long-term results, not quick fixes.
We believe medicine should be both personalized and evidence-based, with a strong emphasis on prevention, education, and better long-term outcomes.
