- A food-selection framework for the carnivore approach.
- 30 recipes organized around the plan.
- A grocery brand shopping guide to help with ingredient selection.
The HormoneSynergy® perspective: We do not recommend a carnivore diet as a long-term foundation for preventive longevity care. Our preferred starting point is a protein-conscious, plant-forward Mediterranean eating pattern, personalized to your metabolic health, body composition, and cardiovascular risk.
Animal foods can provide valuable protein and nutrients, but removing most or all plant foods sharply limits dietary fiber and eliminates many sources of beneficial plant compounds. Depending on food selection, a carnivore diet can also provide substantial amounts of saturated fat, which can raise LDL cholesterol and increase cardiovascular risk. The nutritional concerns extend beyond whether you are getting enough protein.
These concerns deserve particular attention if you have coronary plaque, established cardiovascular disease, familial hypercholesterolemia, or elevated LDL cholesterol or ApoB. Weight loss or improved digestive comfort should be considered alongside cardiovascular markers and nutritional adequacy when evaluating your response.
If you are considering this approach because of food reactions or persistent symptoms, we recommend working with your clinician to investigate the cause and develop a focused plan, including food reintroduction where appropriate. Broad, indefinite restriction should not replace individualized evaluation.
Providing this guide allows you to understand the approach; it does not represent our endorsement of long-term carnivore eating.
