N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) is a source of the conditionally essential amino acid L-cysteine and a precursor to the tripeptide glutathione. NAC and glutathione support antioxidant and detoxification activity in the body.*

PLEASE NOTE: NAC is a potent antioxidant. It is the precursor to glutathione, the most powerful antioxidant made by the body, and is a rich source of sulfur, a mineral needed to make some vitamins, hormones, and tissue. In fact, because of its sulfur content, NAC supplements can smell similar to rotten eggs especially upon opening. This does NOT mean the supplement is oxidized or expired. If this bothers you, we recommend dumping the bottle into a strainer and allowing them to off-gas and then returning them to the bottle.
